While the crypto market continued falling all the way down, itā€™s the best time to share some of the NFT Iā€™ve done which proves how much I donā€™t care about any profit. (Actually, just too dumb to understand? LOL)

This NFT project is the closing event of the acclaimed exhibition from MoNTUE, 怊LumiĆØre: The Enlightenment and Self-Awakening of Taiwanese Culture怋. First, the audience can upload the photos they took in the museum. The point cloud NFT can be generated from them and uploaded to AkaSwap, which is one of the platforms built on the Tezos blockchain. By doing this, it extends the exhibition from the physical to the virtual world as a decentralized form. I was invited by the director (the document film怊 ē”˜éœ²ę°“怋) Pang Chuan Huang and Chunni Lin from the museum and very honored to be part of this creation.

Other than technical consulting, I also made some delicate gifts for the opening of the Galactic Bar of Kng DAO(Decentralized Autonomous Organization) ā€” little matchbox NFTšŸŽ.
The concept is designed by the directors and they also explained the story behind it. During the Japanese colonial period, bar is also a place for artists and writers to develop their ideologies. There are plenty of different design matchboxes available at that moment.
For now, Kng DAO is the modern version of the virtual bar in Discord while the matchboxes become NFT as an updated souvenir. What a brilliant idea!

The music is from audio artist Yujun Wang who constructs that historical vibe from a brisk tempo with traditional Japanese style chords.

In the production, considering minimizing the performance issue, I choose native JavaScript to develop the app instead of using the game engines(Unity/Unreal). The native environment can debug and optimize much easier and more flexibly.
Also, another personal and cynical reason: under the long-term heavy use of game engines from my day job, Iā€™m so sick of that workflow. Thatā€™s why I favor JavaScript over that.

You can check the GIF below. The content/interactive is very simple and the workflow is almost exactly the same as a frontend dev, and the performance is very lightweight even very smooth on low-end devices!

Was trying to add the Grain from GLSL PostProcessing to get a more film/vintage look. (Scrap it due to the performance issue)

There are some interesting ideas Iā€™d like to try but the project schedule is too tight to experiment with. Hopefully, next time I can explore other fun ways to create NFT!

No need for any disclaimer, because there is no investment advice and I donā€™t even sell it either.šŸ˜œ
